Let us leave something nice for the next generation
We have identified a number of opportunities to restore and improve habitat for the benefit of nature in and around Northcroft Meadow. We are in conversation with the landowners for a number of projects and have already got permission to get started.
There are around 35 acres of woodland, wetland, meadow, reed beds, scrub, hedgerow, lake and even a disused railway line. Some of which is already a designated local wildlife area and where the River Kennet flows through, is protected as a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest).
Our aim is to primarily enhance the area for the benefit of all native flora and fauna. But to also provide access to the public so that people can connect with nature and appreciate its beauty. We are also keen to make this physically accessible to all, so everyone can benefit from the fantastic experiences this environment can provide.
